Terengganu is a state in Malaysia facing the South China East whose strategic sea-lane position brought trade and foreign influences that fundamentally influenced its history. The discovery of Batu Bersurat (Inscribed Stone) was inscribed with the Malay Arabic Jawi languages which include the Islamic declaration proving the acceptance of Islamic teachings in Kuala Berang by King Mandalika dated 1303 AD.
